Who we are
thechordhouse.com is run by The Chord House, an online music school teaching piano, keys, guitar and bass. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean The Chord House, and "you" means anyone using this website or CH ONE.
Using this website
You're welcome to use the free tools, games, sheets and lessons information on this site for your own learning and teaching. Please don't misuse the site, try to break it, or use it to send spam.
CH ONE
CH ONE is our stage keyboard in your browser. When you pay for CH ONE, you get a personal licence to use it with the email you paid with, on your own devices, for as long as we offer CH ONE. Your one payment covers CH ONE and every update we make to CH ONE, at no extra cost. New products we may release later, such as a future CH model, a course or other paid features sold under a different name, are not included and are sold separately. Your access is for you: please don't share your login, resell access or give it to others.
Friends and students who receive an access code from us may use CH ONE for their own practice. We may change or withdraw a code at any time.
Our work belongs to us
The CH ONE name and logo, The Chord House name and logo, the design of this website and CH ONE, the code that runs them, The Chord House Way, our lesson materials, sheets and charts are owned by The Chord House. CH ONE™ is a trademark of The Chord House.
You may not:
- copy, reproduce or rebuild CH ONE or this website, in whole or in part;
- take apart, decode or reverse engineer our code;
- use our names, logos or designs for your own product or service;
- sell, publish or redistribute our materials without our written permission.
Screenshots and short clips of CH ONE for your own social media, lessons or practice are welcome, as long as the CH ONE name stays visible and you tag @thechordhouseae.
Sounds and open licences
CH ONE's sounds are voiced and named for CH ONE. Some of them are built on openly licensed recordings, which remain under their own licences:

Song chords and AI features
CH ONE's song chords and Chordy, our music buddy, use AI listening and AI answers. They can make mistakes, so please check important things yourself. We don't provide song lyrics, and you're responsible for having the right to use any music you play into CH ONE.
Payments
Payments are made through Ziina or PayPal, and their own terms apply to the payment itself. We confirm each CH ONE payment and unlock your email, usually within a few hours. If something isn't right with a purchase, message us and we'll sort it out with you.
Your details
When you buy CH ONE, book a lesson or ask for a free sheet, we keep the details you give us (such as your name and email) so we can give you access, reply to you and send what you asked for. We don't sell your details. If you'd like us to delete them, just ask.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version.
